First Project!

and we are off…

Our first project is for Afghans for Afghans, a worthy charity that knitters create, well… afghans for, well… Afghans. They also love mittens, socks, caps and the like (but no scarves please).

The deadline for this project is January 27th, 2005.

Since the deadline is coming up quick, we are only knitting small objects (hats, mittens, socks) and then we will send them to me (Trey). I’ll package them up as the ‘peaceknit’ group :) and hand deliver them to Afgans for Afghans on the 26th or 27th (which means your projects will need to get to me by the 26th, plan accordingly).

Please remember to follow their guidelines, such as not images, etc.

(the second project will be a group made afghan for the same charity, we’ll each do a square or two… or three.. one of us will take all the squares and combine them and we’ll send that it. It will take more planning such as color design, size, etc. The third project and charity will be decided by the group)

  1. I have a baby hat already knit up, and am working on an adult size hat in a very funky multicolor. Thanks to Trey and Annie for setting this up!

  2. of course, I’m doing something for this project. I’m on two right now.. a baby blanket and a kid’s hat. I’ll give the one (or both) that I’ve finished by then.

  3. Definitely in here! I’ve got some mittens I’m trying to knit up and I’ll try to squeeze a hat in as well.
